In 2007 I saw these boys in Toronto, Ontario. Fran Healy gave me a strong hug after I broke down telling him about my ex leaving and how watching their videos made me smile in the aftermath. He didn’t need to talk to me for ages like he did… but he did and I’ll never forget.
The music is a bit MOR and a bit cheesy, but the lyrics really, really mean a great deal to me. Thank you Fran, Andy, Dougie and Neil. You make me proud to be Scottish and you made me smile in my darkest hours. x
